21 Dec TERPconsulting’s WAYNE GRISWOLD GRANTED COLORADO PE LICENSE
TERPconsulting is pleased to announce the approval of Wayne R. Griswold, PE, CFPS, for licensure by the Colorado State Board of Licensure as a Fire Protection Professional Engineer (PE). Wayne’s successful completion of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) examination provides evidence of his ability to practice competently as a Fire Protection Engineer. As a prerequisite of his eligibility to take the October exam, he was required to provide evidence of graduation from a board-approved (ABET) engineering curriculum of four years and complete eight years of progressive engineering experience.
Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection and Safety Technology from Oklahoma State University. He is experienced with design review and commissioning of fire and life safety systems with an emphasis in smoke control special inspections, developing testing documentation for commissioning of fire/life safety systems, including fire alarm, fire suppression, smoke control, clean agent and fireproofing assemblies, and fire alarm and fire suppression design tasks. Wayne has worked Las Vegas, the Middle East, and Denver.
A Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) as recognized by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Wayne is International Code Council (ICC) certified as a Fire Inspector Level I/II and Fire Plans Examiner. He is also certified as a State of Colorado Suppression Inspector and Inspector III – Plans Examiner and is certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Water Based Systems Layout Level I/II. He is certified in Clark County, NV as a Special Inspector for Smoke Control (Item K) and Fireproofing Assemblies (Item Y).
Wayne currently serves on the board of directors for the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE). In 2015, he was selected by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine as ’40 Under 40′ winner.
