Jim Begley is a registered professional fire protection engineer in 44 states, The District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. He has more than 25 years' experience in fire and life safety and code consulting. Jim founded TERPconsulting in 2010.

Natasha ``Tisha`` Overman is a founder and principal of TERPconsulting. She is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Finance. Tisha has more than 25 years' business experience.

Bryan joined TERPconsulting in April 2012 as a Principal for the company. He received his Master’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has over 11 years' engineering and code consulting experience and is a registered professional Fire Protection Engineer in eight states. Bryan manages operations for the Las Vegas office.

Wayne Griswold is a principal and a licensed professional fire protection engineer. His ten plus year career began in Las Vegas in 2006 with stops in Denver and the Middle East. Wayne is a “Consulting-Specifying Engineer” magazine 40 Under 40 winner. He launched our first remote office in Denver, CO, in December 2016. Wayne manages Colorado operations.

Mark Hopkins has more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of fire protection engineering. He most recently served as Vice President of Engineering for the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA). Mark joined TERPconsulting in the spring of 2020, as a Regional Director and Sr. Fire Protection Engineer.

Joseph Plati is a licensed Professional Fire Protection engineer with more than 15 years experience in the fire and life safety industry providing code consulting and smoke control analysis services in both the New York City market and around the country. He joined TERPconsulting in February 2022.

Jorge Velasco has over 30 years’ experience and began his engineering career in 1998 at Schirmer Engineering/AON in
Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Velasco has experience in building and life safety code consulting, and design of fire protection systems
(including fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems).

Ed Fixen has over 25 years' code consulting and fire protection engineering experience as a fire/life safety code consultant. Ed is a registered professional fire protection and mechanical engineer in the state of California. He opened TERP's Southern California office in March of 2017.

Jeff Halpert has over 30 years of fire protection engineering experience. Most recently, he worked at the Glendale Fire Department for 30 years in the Fire Prevention Bureau. He served various roles including Fire Marshal, Fire Protection Engineer II, Engineering Project Specialist, Hazardous Materials Specialist, and oversaw the city’s fire code adoption and amendment process.

Scott Golly, PE is a sr. fire protection engineer in TERPconsulting’s Baltimore office. A subject matter expert in large commercial fire alarm and mass notification systems, Scott has almost three decades of experience in the fire protection field.

Wiliam ``Bill`` is a registered professional Fire Protection engineer in California, Nevada and Virginia. In January 2014, he joined TERPconsulting as a Fire Protection Engineer for the company.

Joe Chacon has more than 10 years' experience as a fire protection engineer. He is also a firefighter for the City of Henderson, NV with more than 12 years' experience. Joe is a registered fire protection engineer in seven states.

Richard “Rick” Cloninger has more than 40 years’ experience in construction, design, management, and marketing in the field of fire protection including small-scale sites to megaprojects comprising, among others, high-rise buildings, casinos, industrial complexes, and power plants.

Randy Day specializes in fire protection engineering, fire sprinkler, alarm and clean agent design, hazard analyses, and interpretation of building and fire codes. He has more than 9 years' experience in the fire protection and code consulting field.

Jason Beck is a fire protection consultant and a member of the firm since 2011. He has over 18 years' experience in the fire protection industry. Jason also has extensive experience in the preparation of smoke control diagrams for high-rise properties.

Greg Kimble has more than nine years’ experience in the fire protection industry. His career began at Martech Fire Solutions, Inc. where he conducted life safety analyses of existing facilities and recommended updates to life safety systems.

Paul Seifert has more than nine years' experience in the fire protection and engineering industries. Paul has a wide range of project experience including the design of commercial fire sprinkler systems and coordination of their installation with multiple stakeholders including the general contractor, owner, consultant, architect, and authority having jurisdiction.

Nicole is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland where she majored in Fire Protection Engineering. She joined TERPconsulting as a Fire Protection Consultant in May 2021.

Lana Benny holds a Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. She has worked on a range of projects as a fire engineer in Middle East and Africa. She has also helped develop digital tools and tutorials focused on fire engineering.

Heather Younghusband works on a variety of projects reviewing and analyzing fire/life safety requirements, and is certified as an International Code Council (ICC), Accessibility Inspector and Plans Examiner. Heather is a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) Property Inspection Certification from the State of California.

Mr. Krylo has 15 years' experience and began his engineering career in 2007 at JBA Consulting Engineers performing mechanical drafting, which included preparation of smoke control drawings. Adam manages smoke control systems testing and inspections for TERPconsulting.

Jesse Lumpa joined TERPconsulting's Denver office as a fire protection consultant in the summer of 2021.

Eric Johnson is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland. He joined TERPconsultng as a fire protection consultant in the spring of 2021.

Mr. Strasser has seven years' experience in the IT field as a Data Analyst. Matt is currently pursuing his professional engineering degree. He joined TERPconsulting in February 2017.

Gary Lynon has 14 years' experience and joined TERPconsulting in July, 2018.

Michael Portillo has more than 15 years of experience in fire protection and life safety. He joined TERPconsulting in the summer of 2021 as a fire protection designer.

Ann Trobough has more than 25 years' experience in marketing, advertising and graphic design. Ann joined TERP in June 2017.

In her communications role at TERPconsulting, Beth utilizes her writing and editing skills, experience reporting the news, and knowledge of what makes the zeitgeist tick to guide the company’s voice, brand, and messaging.

Nancy Cohen joined TERPconsulting as office manager in 2015. She is responsible for coordinating and managing proposals, finalizing reports and managing the day-to-day operations for the Las Vegas office.

Lindsay Beck has more than 14 years’ experience in business administration and operations. She specializes in the development and implementation of corporate infrastructure, operations, project management, and positive accountability.

Buster joined TERP in the Fall of 2015. His many duties include napping, purring, eating, balancing from the ceiling rafters, keeping the office rodent-free, and greeting visitors.
