With her experience in construction project management, including working for both a general contractor and an HVAC contractor, Marisa brings her knowledge in the technical areas of construction design and architecture to TERPconsulting’s accessibility team.

In her role as an accessibility technician, Marisa conducts accessibility assessment field surveys, inspections, and analysis; performs accessibility drawing and design reviews, and existing building audits; and provides technical assistance and consulting during project development, design, and construction. Building on her expertise in reviewing drawings with lead architect and engineering teams, Marisa uses her proficiency in highly specialized regulations, building codes, and standards to apply the necessary accessibility requirements to a building project.

Previously a project manager for Holt Construction and Orion Mechanical Systems, Inc., Marisa reviewed mechanical drawings specific to each project, interpreted construction documents, executed the required construction sequences, and maintained compliance with design documents. Highlights of her construction career have included working on the Brookfield Place Omega Store, Hudson News store remodels at JFK International and LaGuardia Airports, City University of New York (CUNY), Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), in addition to various hotel and school renovations, and private religious institutions and new high-rise projects.

A graduate of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Marisa has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in psychology.
