Dolby Live is a four-story, 170,000-square-foot concert hall at Park MGM Resort Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip that opened in 2016. Featuring a three-level public lobby space, the 5,300-seat concert theater was added to the south side of the casino hotel. The exterior features stone, metal panels, and a glass lobby curtain wall. TERPconsulting provided Smoke Control Mechanical Quality Assurance Agency (MQAA) inspection and testing services, and a third-party fire modeling peer review. TERPconsulting prepared a smoke control/removal system test plan and testing scenarios that were followed for inspection and testing services. TERPconsulting conducted inspections to verify smoke control/removal system equipment installation and smoke zone boundary construction. Following inspections, TERPconsulting witnessed smoke control/removal system sequence testing to verify proper system operation and air balance testing performed by a separate air balance testing agency. A final report documenting all MQAA activities was prepared following the completion of inspections and testing for review and approval by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
