With over two decades of expertise in fire protection engineering, Jason adeptly manages a spectrum of responsibilities at TERPconsulting’s Las Vegas headquarters. His leadership of the firm’s largest office includes overseeing building and fire code consulting and plan review in general, including fire protection reports, master egress, smoke control, and accessibility.
Specifically, Jason is instrumental in ensuring building designs, systems, and practices comply with relevant fire safety codes and standards. His skill set also includes fire alarm and detection system design, automatic sprinkler system design, and supervision of the production of contract documents, construction progress, and final observations.
Jason’s career is studded with notable achievements, having contributed his expertise to renowned projects along the iconic Las Vegas Strip, including Caesars Palace, Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Palms Place, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. His extensive portfolio also extends into the tribal sector, where he has provided code consulting services to establishments such as Wildhorse Resort & Casino, Snoqualmie Casino, Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel, and Mystic Lake Casino Resort. Beyond these realms, Jason’s proficiency as a fire protection designer has left a lasting imprint across diverse sectors, including education, food and beverage, retail, commercial, and municipal markets.
Before joining TERPconsulting in 2011, Jason worked as a fire protection consultant and designer in the fire protection department of JBA Consulting Engineers (now NV5), where he began his career in the AEC industry as a mechanical draftsman in 2000.
