Distinguished as a Fellows in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Jim Begley, founder of TERPconsulting, is a registered professional fire protection engineer in 45 states.

A founder and principal of TERPconsulting, Natasha “Tisha” Overman has almost 20 years' experience in finance, operations, and business administration. She's integral in the firm’s management and growth.

One of four firm principals, Bryan Douglass has almost 20 years of engineering and code consulting expertise and is a registered professional FPE in eight states.

A TERP principal, Wayne Griswold leads projects in Colorado and the Middle East. He is well-versed in design, consulting, hazmat, commissioning and testing of complex fire/life safety systems, and code consulting.

As head of TERP’s NYC team, Joseph Plati's code consulting experience includes passive fire resistance rating analysis, egress, height and area analysis, smoke control system design and analysis, and fire modeling.

Jorge Velasco, who manages TERP’s Southern California team, specializes in 3rd party smoke control, fire alarm, and special suppression system testing, and the design and inspection of fire protection systems.

James Frater, PE is responsible for managing TERPconsulting’s Arizona operations. His extensive experience includes fire protection engineering, code consulting, and experience as an Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Jason Beck adeptly manages a spectrum of responsibilities at TERPconsulting's Las Vegas headquarters including oversight of building and fire code consulting services, master egress, smoke control, and accessibility considerations.

A firefighter, HazMat technician, and licensed PE, Joe Chacon provides building/fire code consulting, plan review, hazardous materials consulting, hazard analysis and risk assessments, and fire system design.

Prior to joining TERP, Jeff Halpert, who is serving as president of the SoCal Chapter of Society of Fire Protection Engineers, spent a 30-year career in the Fire Prevention Bureau of the Glendale Fire Department.

A part of TERP’s NYC team, Kaitlin McGillvray, PE, specializes in fire protection systems, egress analysis, protection of floor openings and special hazards, and alternative methods of construction for structural fire protection and smoke control.

A registered professional FPE in North Carolina, Rick's experience in the field of fire protection engineering runs from small-scale sites to mega projects including high-rise buildings, casinos, industrial complexes, and power plants.

Utilizing his specialties of code consulting, plan review, and firestop inspections, Randy Day’s project portfolio includes the modernization of DIA, plan review for DFD, and tenant improvements at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Troy Spiger, PE, is a seasoned fire protection engineer and sprinkler designer with 30 years of expertise. His background encompasses fire protection system design, including sprinkler systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems.

With two decades of experience, Kate Miller, PE, excels at performing comprehensive reviews of building plans, designs, and construction documents to assess compliance with applicable fire codes, standards, and regulations.

Currently serving as Vice President of the Colorado Fire Protection Association, Jesse Lumpa, PE, specializes in water-based fire suppression system design and pump system engineering.

A modeling analysis whiz, Francisco Kang, PE, has managed performance-based design and fire, smoke, and egress modeling projects for high-profile projects in various occupancies across multiple jurisdictions.

A graduate of the NFA's Executive Fire Officer program who possesses over 25 years of experience in building systems, fire protection, and firefighting, Rob Sontag served as Colorado’s Chief Fire Code Official prior to joining TERP.

Sam Young's fire alarm-centric background features 20 years in a contracting role focused on solving complex fire alarm-related issues in addition to design support/review, programming, and system commissioning.

Kirk has nearly 30 years of experience in the A|E|C industry that encompasses building systems, modern construction methods, and techniques. Specializing in accessibility code compliance, his expertise includes reviewing building permit applications and construction documents for adherence to local and state building codes.

With a focus on special inspections and testing, Adam Krylo brings his skilled knowledge in preparing fire protection reports, egress plans, and general code consulting to his role at TERPconsulting.

Eric Johnson is responsible for code consulting, permitting, and performing on-site inspections. His experience includes fire safety design projects for transportation, hotels, commercial, municipal, and school buildings.

Matt Strasser’s notable projects include Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas Raiders headquarters, Las Vegas Aces practice facility, and Circa Resort & Casino, as well as countless other So. Nevada resort and gaming properties.

Colton Balthazor’s capabilities in the healthcare market include a Life Safety Specialist for Healthcare Facility Managers (CLSS-HC) certification and expertise of NFPA 101—Life Safety Code and NFPA 99—Health Care Facilities.

Gary Lyon prepares egress drawings, tenant improvement and FPRs, and fire alarm design as well as assists with third-party smoke control special inspection testing as part of TERP’s Cad Union.

As an integral member of TERP’s CAD Union, Michael Portillo has worked on resort properties both domestically and internationally that includes MGM Grand, Caesars Palace, and Wynn Las Vegas as well as tribal casinos.

As one of TERPconsulting’s skilled CAD Union team members, Chaz Simons’s focus is drawing and design preparation utilizing AutoCAD and Revit programs.

Beth Schwartz uses her skills as a former editor/writer to manage content on the firm’s website and social media channels as well as share communication initiatives about TERP’s endeavors and accomplishments.

Ann Trobough has built TERPconsulting’s marketing arm into one of its pillars of strength utilizing her business development expertise in branding and marketing to nurture the firm’s robust profile and sterling reputation.

Nancy Cohen is responsible for coordinating proposals, finalizing reports, and managing the day-to-day operations for the firm’s Denver, New York City, and Saudi Arabia (KSA) operations.

Lindsay Beck oversees administrative operations for TERP’s Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Phoenix teams. She manages new projects and proposals, finalizes reports, documents, and AHJ submittals.

Buster oversees the company’s pest control management, monitors workplace productivity, warms empty seats, serves as a paperweight, and manages the shredding of old documents.
