Adam Krylo, CFPS, AET
senior fire protection consultant and lead special inspector
In his role as a senior fire protection consultant, Adam’s primary focus is the commissioning and integrated testing of fire protection and life safety systems. During his 17-year career in the fire protection industry, he has also amassed extensive experience writing and executing test plans, performing testing scenarios for smoke control systems, and inspections and testing for fire-resistant penetrations and joints. Adam has also prepared fire protection reports and egress plans and performed general building and life safety code consulting.
As lead special inspector, Adam is an integral part of TERPconsulting’s Las Vegas team, which is certified by the Clark County Building Department (CCBD) to perform smoke control inspections and testing of new systems as well as annual inspections to ensure compliance with local fire and life safety regulations.
A few of Adam’s career highlights include MQAA testing of the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall Expansion, smoke control testing at both the Wynn and Encore Las Vegas properties, Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel and casino, and Fashion Show mall, and preparing master egress plans for Circa Resort & Casino and the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Before joining TERPconsulting in 2014, Adam was a fire protection drafter in the Fire Protection Group of JBA Consulting Engineers (now NV5). While in the Fire Protection Group, Adam prepared smoke control diagrams, and master egress plans, and assisted with third-party smoke control system special inspection testing. Adam began his engineering career at JBA in 2007, performing mechanical drafting, which included preparing smoke control drawings.
Adam is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) as recognized by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and an alternate to NFPA 3 and 4 — Commissioning and Integrated Testing and NFPA 915 — Remote Inspections. Additionally, he is NICET-certified in Level II Fire Alarm Systems and a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).
