Eric utilizes his experience in fire code to assist clients with the review of plans to achieve code compliance associated with their life safety/fire protection systems. His experience includes third-party plan reviews, code consulting, permitting, and on-site inspections to support compliance with fire and life safety systems. He has contributed to a wide range of projects across multiple sectors, including transportation, hospitality and gaming, commercial developments, government and municipal facilities, and education.

Prior to joining TERPconsulting in 2021, Eric worked for the U.S. National Park Service as a Structural Fire Protection intern. The internship gave him experience performing fire safety/fire alarm inspections and developing egress plans to be posted in buildings on the National Mall as well as coordinating with both local and federal agencies including the FBI and ATF to ensure safety at the Washington, D.C. 4th of July fireworks display. Additionally, he performed fire safety/alarm inspections on most of the buildings/structures on the National Mall including Ford’s Theatre, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.

Eric is a licensed PE in the state of Colorado. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
