Hopper Trimble

hearing service dog & chief alert officer

Hopper is a very important member of the TERPconsulting team—and Jimmy Trimble’s four-legged partner. A hearing service dog from Canine Companions (formerly Canine Companions for Independence), Hopper helps Jimmy stay aware of his surroundings by alerting him to important sounds he might otherwise miss. Hearing dogs are specially trained to alert their partners to sounds such as alarms, doorbells, timers, and other sounds that are important to their individual needs.

When he’s on duty, Hopper takes his job seriously. When he’s off duty, however, he has a much different agenda: sleeping, eating, getting as many pets as possible, and taking long walks to sniff every blade of grass he encounters.

Hopper’s work helps Jimmy navigate his day with greater awareness and independence, while his companionship brings plenty of joy along the way. We’re happy to have him as part of the TERPconsulting team—although we suspect Hopper considers himself the one in charge.
