Jesse’s expertise in the field of fire protection engineering has focused on building and life safety code consulting. With a specialty in water-based fire suppression design, he is certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Water-Based Systems Layout, Level II.
Project highlights in Jesse’s career include working on the fire suppression design for an undisclosed EV factory and conducting a fire and life safety review for SCL Hospital in Denver. He also cites performing the full fire suppression design and permitting for the McGregor Square project in downtown Denver as a high point.
Before joining TERPconsulting in 2021, Jesse was a project manager/designer at Frontier Fire Protection. He designed water-based fire suppression systems that included wet, dry, pre-action, and foam systems. He also performed 3-D coordination using Navisworks and reviewed contracts and scope of work documents. In 2018, Jesse worked at Western States Fire Protection as a project manager/designer managing the material and installation of fire suppression systems as well as designing water-based fire suppression systems.
A registered fire protection engineer (PE) in Wyoming, Jesse is currently serving as Vice President of the 2024-25 Colorado Fire Protection Association (CFPA) board of directors. Jesse is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.
