With more than 15 years of industry experience providing code consulting and smoke control analysis services focused in the New York City market and around the country, Joseph manages TERPconsulting’s New York City office.

As a regional director and sr. fire protection engineer, Joseph’s code consulting experience includes egress analysis, passive fire resistance rating analysis, height and area analysis, smoke control system design and analysis, and determination of required fire protection systems. Additionally, Joseph has 17 years of expertise in fire modeling that runs the spectrum from train stations/airports, high-rises, theaters, and stadiums/arenas/ballparks to buildings with atria, underground buildings, cantilever buildings in NYC, warehouse/distribution/cross-dock/last-mile facilities, and covered mall buildings.

Joseph’s markets of expertise include large assembly (including transportation, museum, performance, and sports facilities), high-rise and super high-rise buildings, mixed-use podium and tower buildings, retail buildings and covered and open mall buildings, office, warehouse/distribution/cross-dock facilities, hotel, apartment, and condominium buildings, and historic and landmark structures.
