AREA15 John Wick Experience
Las Vegas, NV
Market: Assembly
Project Scope: Tenant Improvement Fire Protection Report (TI FPR)
The John Wick Experience is an interactive experience featuring puzzle-solving and escape-room-like elements that opened in March 2025 at AREA15 and includes more than a dozen highly themed cinematic rooms, live interactions, and gameplay. The John Wick Experience required the buildout of an approximately 11,599 ft2 portion of an existing single-story building. Considered a special amusement space and subject to the requirements of IBC Section 411, the building included a reception area, walk-through interactive rooms, and back-of-house areas. Due to the demolition of walls and doors and the ensuing installation of walls, doors, ceilings, stairs, mezzanine, and MEP fixtures, modifications to the building’s fire protection systems were necessary. TERPconsulting prepared a Tenant Improvement Fire Protection Report (TI FPR) for submittal to the City of Las Vegas Building & Safety (LVBS). The immersive experience required that areas along the egress path be neither readily available nor apparent. All work was performed in accordance with the 2018 International Existing Building Code (IEBC), 2021 International Building Code with City of Las Vegas and Henderson amendments (IBC), and the 2021 International Fire Code with City of Las Vegas and Henderson Amendments (IFC).
