TERPconsulting provided third-party safety and security consulting services, evaluating fire protection and life safety systems, and making recommendations for the integration of new installations and system upgrades for the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). TERPconsulting’s fire and life safety consulting services included review of the master plan documentation for existing safety and fire protection processes/procedures, enforcement policies, applicable codes, etc., and assessment of existing as-built documentation to determine the adequacy of enforcement related to fire protection systems. Documentation was reviewed against internationally accepted building/fire codes and standards to establish permitting processes and minimum levels of fire/life safety for both site and building patrons. Additionally, TERPconsulting performed safety hazard site assessments on buildings that were built and/or under construction to determine that the appropriate HSSE regulatory framework was applied, and to include KAFD implementation in the site master plan for future expansion.
