Project Scope: Fire/Life Safety System Code Analysis

TERPconsulting provided code consulting and fire protection system design evaluation services in support of a proposed tenant improvement for an existing 99,248-square-foot building. The project involved the planned repurposing of a facility previously occupied by Hexcel Industries into a battery energy storage system assembly facility. TERPconsulting’s scope of work included identifying applicable code requirements based on the facility’s intended use and the codes adopted by the City of Windsor building and fire departments. Our team of FPEs prepared a Fire Protection Report (FPR) outlining the minimum fire and life safety requirements for the proposed project in accordance with the International Fire Code (IFC) and International Building Code (IBC), as amended and adopted by the City of Windsor Building Department and the Windsor Severance Fire Rescue District.
