Earth Day Celebrates 50-Year Anniversary

Today we celebrate 50 years of Earth Day. A day to appreciate our planet and all its beauty. This year, NASA’s official poster honors the earth by combining art and science. The first Earth Day was in 1970. This new movement mobilized millions of Americans to bring focus and attention to the planet. Earth Day is credited with launching the modern environmental movement and is now recognized as the planet’s largest civic event. Earth Day led to the passage of landmark environmental laws in the United States, including the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts.

Today and every day we should celebrate the earth by reusing, recycling, and reducing.
