By retrofitting an existing warehouse in Henderson, Lithion Battery built out an 80,000‑ft² production facility optimized for lithium‑ion battery assembly in modular, panelized cleanroom environments. TERPconsulting provided general fire/life safety code consulting services, specifically a Tenant Improvement Fire Protection Report (TI FPR) and fire sprinkler and alarm specifications. TERPconsulting identified national-level codes and other guidance sources addressing requirements for lithium-ion storage, handling, and manufacturing. Analysis included requirements from: NFPA 855 – Standard for the Installation of Stationary Energy Storage Systems (2020 edition), 2018 International Building Code with Southern Nevada Amendments (SNBC), 2018 International Fire Code with Southern Nevada Amendments (SNFC), and other applicable NFPA standards and recognized general best practices.
