29 Nov TERPcares Pays it Forward Helping Homeless Youth and Fighting Against Hunger in Support of Giving Tuesday
As part of its TERPcares initiative, TERPconsulting donated time, energy, and monetary resources to several non-profits this month in support of Giving Tuesday. In a continuing endeavor to spread kindness and make a positive impact, TERPcares made donations to Nevada Partnership of Homeless Youth (NPHY), No Kid Hungry, and Three Square food bank for holiday meals which will feed 12,000 people in the Las Vegas Valley this season.
“We are big believers in giving back to the community that has been so good to us,” explained Tish Begley, co-founder and principal of TERPconsulting which is headquartered in Las Vegas. “We selected charitable organizations focused on helping homeless youth and fighting against hunger to uplift those who are not as fortunate as we have been.”
In addition to donating funds to NPHY, TERPconsulting’s Las Vegas team spent an afternoon in mid-November volunteering at the non-profit’s Feel Good Friday activity. During the weekly street outreach event volunteers passed out snacks, personal hygiene products, clothing, and laundry supplies to homeless youth. The NPHY volunteer initiative is important to TERP because Nevada is fourth nationwide for the amount of homeless youth within its borders and leads the rest of the country for the number of homeless youth who have to survive unsheltered and on the streets.
“I couldn’t think of a better way for our team to spend a Friday afternoon than providing our time and energy to fellow community members in need,” enthused Jim Begley, co-founder and principal of TERPconsulting.
