TOM de GRECK, PE, JOINS TERPconsulting IN THE ROLE OF SENIOR FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER

Tom de GreckTERPconsulting is pleased to announce that Tom de Greck, P.E., has joined the firm as a senior fire protection engineer. He is now part of a team of 15 professional engineers across five offices, who collectively hold licenses in 47 states and the District of Columbia.

Tom brings more than 23 years of experience in fire protection engineering, providing code and life safety consultation services across the United States and internationally. His diverse project portfolio includes hospitality, gaming, sports venues, laboratories, mixed-use developments, and high-rise buildings. He also serves as an expert witness in matters of fire protection and life safety.

He is highly skilled in developing fire protection and life safety strategies for new construction, renovation projects, and historic buildings. His expertise encompasses evaluating prescriptive code requirements, performance-based design alternatives, and preparing comprehensive Fire Protection Reports to guide design teams and code officials through complex code issues for safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

In addition to his technical expertise, Tom has extensive experience in project management, client relationships, business development, and contract management. A licensed Fire Protection Engineer in Missouri, he is an active member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (Greater St. Louis Chapter) and the National Fire Protection Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
