17 Sep TROY SPIGER, PE, JOINS TERPconsulting’s LAS VEGAS TEAM
TERPconsulting is pleased to announce that Troy Spiger, PE, has joined its Las Vegas team as a senior fire protection engineer. He is now part of TERPconsulting’s team of 15 professional engineers across five offices, who collectively hold licenses in 44 states and the District of Columbia.
“I joined TERP for the opportunity to collaborate with some of the top experts in the field, all while enjoying a healthy work/life balance,” explained Troy, a seasoned fire protection engineer and sprinkler designer recognized for decades of expertise and leadership in the field.
Troy’s more than 30 years of experience include managing multi-million-dollar projects highlighted by design and consulting on automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire hazards analysis, general fire protection concepts, and building code principles.
“We are thrilled to welcome Troy Spiger to our Las Vegas team,” said Jason Beck, AET, who leads the team at TERPconsulting’s headquarters in Las Vegas. “Troy’s extensive experience in sprinkler design brings tremendous value to our firm. His diverse background and proven expertise will greatly enhance our ability to deliver top-tier solutions to our clients. We’re excited to have him on board.”
Troy’s three-decade career in the fire protection industry is diverse and impressive. “It spans from working as a teenager fabricating sprinkler pipe in my father’s shop to serving as president of a 100+ employee fire sprinkler contracting company. Along the way, I served in various roles, including working at NASA’s Neil Armstrong Flight Research Center as a Fire Protection Engineer and Project Manager, managing a multi-discipline design team for a military contract, and running my own firm specializing in fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and mass notification design,” said Troy.
Throughout his career, Troy has contributed to various high-profile projects, including the Elvis Theater at ARIA Resort & Casino, Auric at Symphony Park, UnCommons Phase I, Primm Power Plant, and the MGM Sportsbook. His notable work at NASA includes the Mirror Recoating Facility for the SOFIA Program and the B703 Airborne Science Lab Remodel.
A licensed professional engineer in Arizona, California, and Nevada, Troy has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Washington State University.
