TERPconsulting provided fire/life safety and HazMat consulting services related to a new NRS Logistics facility that is comprised of a 65,000 ft² warehouse with Group H-2, H-3, and H-4 high-hazard occupancy storage spaces, an office area, and a utility yard. Specifically, TERPconsulting reviewed fire code requirements, identified potential compliance issues, and performed a HazMat assessment. TERPconsulting also prepared a Fire Protection Report (FPR) for submittal to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) that addressed proposed storage and operations. During the evaluation of the facility’s chemical inventory for compliance, TERPconsulting utilized TheHazMatApp to track hazard classifications, compare hazard class totals against allowable quantities, and create the Hazardous Materials Inventory Statement (HMIS).
