The Northeast Career and Technical Academy (NECTA) designed for the Clark County School District (CCSD) is comprised of four program-specific low-rise buildings measuring approximately 260,000 ft2 sitting on a roughly 40-acre campus. TERPconsulting performed code consulting of fire protection/life safety concepts during the schematic design phase of the $245-million-dollar project. Additionally, TERPconsulting reviewed architectural drawings for general compliance with applicable fire/life safety codes and standards and prepared a Fire Protection Report (FPR) for the project during the Career Technical Academy’s design development phase. TERPconsulting also provided specifications for the Academy’s fire sprinkler and fire alarm design.
