Project Scope: Fire Alarm Design

TERPconsulting designed the replacement for the existing fire alarm and detection system serving Ely State Prison, which measures approximately 230,000 ft² and consists of 18 buildings, including four towers, a work and recreation building measuring 48,600 ft², a services building measuring 56,500 ft2, a 1,680-square-foot armory, a trustee dormitory at 3,600 ft², and eight housing units. Ely State Prison’s fire alarm and detection system was installed in 2004 and had become outdated due to a lack of support and availability for the fire alarm panels and devices. TERPconsulting designed the replacement of the existing fire alarm and detection system with modern, code-compliant solutions per NFPA 72 — National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code.
