Project Scope: Smoke Control System Design

The Gun Lake Casino phase 5 expansion project includes a new high-rise hotel, a 32,000-square-foot glass-enclosed atrium, restaurant, spa, and fitness center. The $300 million expansion project to be completed in 2025 includes a 15-story 252-room hotel tower with two pressurized stairwells. TERPconsulting designed the stair pressurization smoke control systems in accordance with NFPA 92 – Standard for Smoke Control Systems and ASHRAE Handbook of Smoke Control Engineering using the multi-zone pressurization analysis software CONTAM. The Rational Analysis calculations were prepared as required by IBC Section 909.4.
