TERPconsulting supported architecture and engineering firm DJG by providing fire protection engineering services for the design and construction oversight required to replace a multi-spectrum IR detection system in a large hangar at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana. TERPconsulting conducted a site survey of ten bays at the hangar to document existing conditions of the AFFF fire suppression systems, releasing panels, IR detection, notification, and the building’s fire alarm system. Additionally, TERPconsulting prepared fire suppression, fire alarm, and detection system design documents as regulated by UFC 3-600-01 and referenced NFPA standards.
