Project Scope: Accessibility Consulting, Fire Protection Report

Kent Place School is an independent, college-preparatory, private all-girls’ day school with a lower school, middle school, and upper school. The project’s scope included evaluating accessibility levels in the Mabie House, which is the main administration building, and the lower school during the master plan’s development. Additionally, TERPconsulting provided services for a new three-story Leadership Center for Athletics, Wellness, and Performing Arts being constructed on campus and scheduled for completion in the fall of 2026.

TERPconsulting provided accessibility consulting services for the main administration building and the lower school of Kent Place School. TERPconsulting’s accessibility review was in accordance with the 2010 Standards for Title III of the ADA Act, Chapter 11 of the International Building Code, 2018 edition, and ANSI A117.1, 2009 edition; and the 2018 International Building Code, New Jersey edition.

TERPconsulting also provided accessibility consulting services and prepared a fire protection report (FPR) for the college’s new Leadership Center for Athletics, Wellness, and Performing Arts establishing minimum site fire/life safety requirements in accordance with the 2021 International Building Code, New Jersey edition, 2021 International Fire Code, 2015 International Fire Code, New Jersey edition, and NFPA 92, Standard for Smoke Control Systems, 2015 edition.
