Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District, the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is a five-story medical school measuring approximately 135,000 ft². Designed by tsk Architects, the state-of-the-art facility features a multistory community space, café, learning resource center, student lounge and fitness/wellness center, administrative offices, group study rooms, and flexible classrooms. The $125-million-dollar facility also houses the school’s patient rooms, simulation suite, virtual anatomy classrooms, and a pro-section (cadaver) lab. In addition to preparing a Fire Protection Report, TERPconsulting provided general code analysis, general egress analysis, smoke control/removal concepts as well as fire pump and emergency elevator provisions.
