Part of the College of Music on the CU Boulder campus, the Warner Imig Music Building spans 89,500 ft² and features recital halls, large ensemble rehearsal rooms, a choral room, a state-of-the-art recording studio, more than 50 practice rooms, 80 faculty studios, classrooms, and offices. TERPconsulting provided fire and life safety code consulting services for the building’s 64,000 ft² expansion that broke ground in February 2019. The $57 million expansion project introduced new rehearsal and recital spaces, including an upgraded Chamber Hall and a versatile rehearsal-performance venue with retractable seating. The expansion also added new classrooms, a cutting-edge recording studio, and dedicated suites for the Entrepreneurship Center for Music and the Musicians’ Wellness Program.
